As I mentioned on my previous blog, I have in my mind to apply for multiple-entry visa to travel again to Japan. So, this is it! I applied for ME visa and got it approved! ❤
In my first travel to Japan, I had a single-entry visa. It was a gamble as I do not know if it will be approved. Blessed and lucky I was, my single-entry visa has been approved and I was able to travel to Japan last March.
So, how did I do it? Here are some tips that I can share based from my experience.
I started to complete the necessary requirements,
- Passport
- Filled out the Application Form with updated photo
- Filled out the Multiple-Entry Visa Form
- DIY Itinerary, you may download this sample itinerary I created
There are 4 conditions when you apply for Multiple-Entry Visa such as the following,

Since my nearest classification is under the condition “Applicant who travelled Japan as temporary visitor in the last 3 years and has financial capacity“, I prepared these additional requirements,
- Used Visa which is still in my current Passport
- Latest copy of my BIR ITR
- Bank Certificate with ADB that I got from BPI
I also added the following as supplementary documents to validate my intent to travel again in Japan,
- Cover Letter indicating the reasons why I am applying for multiple-entry visa. My reasons were actually to experience different seasons, know more about Japan heritage and culture, and the intent that I was trying to buy a Taylor Swift ticket concert. You may download the sample cover letter I made. 💜
- Latest Certificate of Employment
- Copies of my old passport with the stamps I got from other foreign countries I travelled to.
- Latest PSA Birth Certificate. Though it was not necessary, I still submitted it.

After I completed all the documents, I submitted it to ATTIC Tours at SM Megamall. It’s the same travel agency that I applied with last January. Their staff were very helpful and will make sure that your documents were correctly and completely filled out. They also have additional service of taking your current photo with additional charges.

ATTIC Tours visa processing fee was Php 1,200 plus Php 500 for the multiple-entry visa processing fee. They told me that if my ME visa will be denied, they will return the Php 500. All fees and documents were submitted last July 29, 2023.
By August 2, I called ATTIC Tours and they said that my passport hadn’t arrived yet. By the same day at around 8:30 PM, I received an SMS with the message that my passport is available for pick-up. They didn’t indicate on the message if my visa had been approved or denied. As a policy, the travel agency can not disclose information about visa results via SMS or call. It will be better to visit them personally. I am still amazed how ATTIC Tours have the result in a span of less than 3 working days. Remember that I submitted my documents on a Saturday and Japanese Embassy will be open again on a Monday. By Wednesday, the result was already available! 🥳
As it was a weekday and I have work, I scheduled my visit for next weekend. With some worries, if my visa has been approved or not, I was confident, also knowing that it was not my first time to travel to Japan.
My worry, though, is if my multiple-entry visa will be approved, how long will it be? From what I read, the Japan Embassy approves 5 or 10 years ME Visa. My passport will be valid for the next 5 years only. So, I was wondering if they can still approve a ME visa for me.
Moment of truth! It was Saturday and I went again to ATTIC Tours in SM Megamall to claim my passport. Upon arrival, the staff greeted me and asked for my last name to validate my identity, asked for my receipt. After flipping some pages of my passport, the staff explained to me from and to when is my visa is valid. By that point, I was not sure if its approved for multiple-entry visa. After some minutes, I realized it was approved!!! ❤

Success! I was very much blessed and lucky! Definitely, I have more travels to plan!
By this month of August, I was not able to win the 2nd lottery of Taylor Swift concert in Tokyo. I was discouraged for couple of days. Luckily, the concert organizer announced a general sale last August 22. When the general sale was opened, I couldn’t get any available concert ticket, too. 😦
After some days, I finally got the concert ticket! 💜💜
My multiple-entry visa will be used on 2024! 💜💜💜
But without Taylor Swift concert, I will still travel to Japan again. There are too many places to travel to. I pray that God will continue to guide me in my next journey.
I hope this blog post will help you to have your multiple-entry visa be approved. Safe travels! 💜
