My Eras Tour Moments!

When Taylor Swift announced last year that she will be having her Eras Tour in some parts of Asia, I was one of the excited fans who aimed to attend the concert. It was an announcement that shookt my heart all through out.😱😱😱

I became a fan of Taylor Swift when she released the Red album. Though I already heard her songs from her first album Taylor Swift, Fearless and Speak Now, I was not feeling her yet as I felt that it was like a highschool teeny-thing. But when I heard her songs from Red like “I Knew You Were Trouble”, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, “22” and her collaboration with another favorite singer Ed Sheeran which was “Everything Has Changed”, I became a fan! ❤️

Her songs became more relatable for me. I kept on singing it as part of my early adult days. Her songs were catch-y yet heartbreaking. The Red album was an eye-opener in the pop culture.

When her album 1989 was released in 2014 that was the time I really can tell that I was a certified Swiftie! I requested her album as my Christmas gift. I sung along to all of her songs in 1989. Aside from all the songs, it was my birth year too and we were of the same birth month of Taylor, so 1989 became very special for me. 💙💙💙

As years passed by, all of Taylor’s songs became more matured and aligned to my same experiences. Who will also forget the “Folklore” and “Evermore” which were released in pandemic days. Those albums saved me from my boredom while working from home.

Concert Preparation

Fast forward to today, the announcement of the Eras Tour became a storm to all Swifties and music fans. I tried to get my ticket in her Singapore tour but I was unlucky. 😭 My second option was in Japan but it was more expensive, plus I need to apply again for a visa. My first visa application was single-entry only.

For her Japan leg, lottery tickets were introduced. I joined the first and second lottery but I was also unlucky. 😭😭😭 Finally, the concert producer in Japan announced a general sale. I really prayed to get a ticket that time. And after too many attempts and loading of page, confusion on how to use the Lawson page and all, I finally got a VIP 3 ticket!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

It was indeed a great war! The ticket I got was the All Too Well package. Including in the VIP ticket was a Taylor Swift official merchandise. I was very exhilarated! It was like winning a true lottery. 🥳🥳🥳 My first international concert was coming true! 🥰

Since that was August last year when I got the ticket, I had plenty of time to prepare before the actual concert date in February. The Facebook group I joined was very helpful with all of the questions of first-time travelers, how to use the ticket application, setting up itinerary and more. To give back, I tried to respond to all comments related in getting a visa and going around Japan.

Before the actual concert, I was lucky enough to be granted with multiple-entry visa. Flights, hotel accommodations, itinerary, outfits were checked on track. It was like planning as if you were part of the concert production.

As I was really into 1989 era, I chose a simple white and blue outfit that was very comfortable. I know I will be jumping, standing, dancing inside Tokyo Dome so I chose an outfit which was very comfy. Though I thought of wearing a heattech under my skirt, I opted not to wear one since I read feedback that I will be hot inside the dome. 😅 Plus, any Eras outfit will be incomplete without the friendship bracelets! 🥰🥰🥰

Since the concert will be in the evening, I had a lot of time to rest and prepare. I did not add any itinerary in the morning so I can pack my luggages since my flight back to Manila will be the next day. I just stayed in the hotel, pack all the pasalubong I bought from the 2 Don Quijote shops I visited. 😂

How did I get to Tokyo Dome?

From my hotel, I took the subway train and stopped at Korakuen Station. As I stayed near the Suitengumae Station, it took me less than 30 minutes to get to Korakuen Station. I arrived by past 3 PM at the station.

While waiting for the gates to open, I took photos already around the Tokyo Dome. As time goes on, the crowd gets bigger. I decided to eat my early dinner at the station first before people flock more.

Entering the Tokyo Dome

It was February 9, 2024 when my Swiftie heart became fuller! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰After all the concert preparation, I was really there!!!! 😍😍😍😍 The excitement was extreme! I got to meet Swifties all around the world too! 🥰🥰🥰

The gate for VIP 3 opened at exactly 4 PM as mentioned on the email sent. The Tokyo Dome staffs were really amazing to handle such a huge crowd! Entering the dome was easy-peasy!

Days before I travel to Japan, my sim was unable to read in my phone so I needed it to be replaced. The sim or my number is connected to my Anypass ticket account. Plus way before, my phone was unable to authenticate my sim. I even borrowed my brother’s phone to use it for the ticket scanning. A bit nervous when it was my turn to scan my ticket, I successfully entered the dome in less than a minute. 🥳

After the scanning of ticket, staffs directed us to get our official merchandise. It was also too fast to have the merchandise as long you successfully entered the dome. The staffs did not even asked for my ticket. The staff just handed the merchandise and informed us that we can search for our seats.

Such a relief! After all of the anxiety if my ticket will work, it was really happening! 🥳🥳🥳

As I searched for my seat, I was happy to see Filipinos everywhere! It was like attending a concert in a local venue. Some were exchanging their friendship bracelets and were very much happy to tell where they were from.

I finally found my seat and it was in the middle of the dome. I was lucky enough to be seated in this place after all that happened from getting concert ticket up to preparation. It was magical! ✨

While waiting for the concert to start, I bought some food and drink that will let me keep up the night. I need to be hydrated while singing all night long. Plus the queues in the food counters will become longer as hours goes on. Same with the queues in the rest rooms. 😅

Eras Tour!

Exactly at 6 PM, the concert started and my heart was like beating too fast! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Hearing Taylor’s voice live was magical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 It was like pulling her from the CDs I have and Spotify. It was rare!

Her production was very well-planned and beautifully executed. It really felt that her personal touches were there to let her fans feel it too. It was incredible! ✨✨✨

Singing to her songs live with other fans was amazing! It was like singing all along with a friend that you missed so much and now you were reunited. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I thought my seat was a perfect spot, but a pole with camera stands in between, making it hard to take photos and videos. Nevertheless, I was there and I just need to enjoy it. 😍😍😍

Tokyo Dome became a big party event when she sung songs from her Lover, Fearless, Speak Now and Red albums! It was like for some meeting their childhood again and just singing their hearts out. 🎤🎼🎤

The Evermore and Folklore eras gave a relaxing vibe all through out and just like wondering under the trees. It was soothing! During these eras I got the chance to pee. 😂 But I should have not dared, because I got lost in finding my seat again. 😂 After some minutes, I finally found my seat. 😂😂😂

As Taylor sung Reputation era songs, it was like revealing her dark side but everyone was dancing and jumping. There are too many concert-goers that worn Reputation era outfit so I guessed they really enjoyed that well!

When my era 1989 played, oh man! I became wilder!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩 As I sang “Out of Style”, “Blank Space” and “Bad Blood”, my memories when I first heard those songs came alive again. And when Taylor sung “Shake It Off”, that was the time I stopped to take videos and just enjoyed the moment! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I tapped my seatmates from Korea and Taiwan to keep on dancing to enjoy too because I was too messy with my dance moves! 😂😂

After that wild 1989 era, I got the chance to seat for sometime while Taylor was singing her surprise songs “Dear Reader” and “Holy Ground”.

As the night ends, Taylor sung her Midnight era songs. It was from her last album, but now we get the The Tortured Poets Department released this April 2024.

Going back to my Midnight era moments, it was hell of a ride! Her songs from that era were also remarkable.

After more than 3 hours and 45 songs, the concert ended! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 It was amazing and spectacular! My Swiftie heart was once full again but in a different level of happiness! 😍🥰😍😍🥰😍😍🥰😍😍🥰😍😍🥰😍😍🥰😍😍🥰😍😍🥰😍

No doubt, why it was called the best concert tour because of her performance and production. It was such a collaboration made from the heart and all fans felt it that night! 😍🥰😍

Exiting the Tokyo Dome

As there was no encore or additional songs – well, I just expect things 😆, the concert-goers exit the dome slowly. Though there was an influx returning to the train stations, the staffs stayed calm and just let the crowd be instructed on where to go. It was really organized.

While waiting outside the dome to have a lesser crowd, I was there in the corner, dying in the coldness as I did not wore my heattech.🥶🥶🥶The temperature dropped to 10° that night. 😂🤷‍♀️🥶

Before 9:30 PM, I was already inside the train going back to hotel. I arrived before 10 PM in my hotel. It was really quick! I do not want to compare concerts in Philippines but you cannot go home that quickly. 😁😁😁

I was sooooo lucky to see and hear Taylor live! Those moments were one for the books! 😍🥰😍😍🥰😍 I was very honored and privileged to see her in this lifetime. 😍🥰😍😍🥰😍😍🥰😍

If given a chance again to see her live, I will definitely grab it and enjoy it again. Thank you so much, Taylor! Thank you for your efforts and music for letting your fans feel incredible! 😍🥰😍

All the preparations and anxieties were gone! Thank you!!!! You were God-sent in this wild world, Taylor! 💜💜💜 Until our next concert! 💜💜💜

It was rare, I was there! 💜💜💜
