Travelling with entire family can be fun yet exhausting. The planning should be precise yet you want everyone to enjoy it. As a long time travel planner of my own, I also wanted to enjoy this moment with my family.

Nevertheless, I just taught that worrying too much about our itinerary will not give me good vibes. So, I just trusted my instinct and just created a plan that I know everyone will enjoy. 😍🥰😍
In our 6-days travel in Hong Kong, we decided to visit these places. Hope you can also use this itinerary if you will travel to Hong Kong with your family. 😍🥰😍
- Hong Kong Ocean Park
- Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei
- Nan Lian Garden
- Victoria Harbour and Avenue of Stars
- Hong Kong Disneyland
- Tung Chung Visitation Parish
- V Walk Mall in Nam Cheong
- Citygate Outlet
Hong Kong Ocean Park
Entrance Fee: Php 3,463 (Buy 1, Take 1 Klook promo for adults) + Php 2,015 (for 2 kids, purchased in Ocean Park website)
Hong Kong Ocean Park was a last-minute addition to our travel. My 4-year-old nephew loves animals. He once watched a video of HK Ocean Park in YouTube. He was very amazed of the animals he saw. Thus, he was expecting to see it in person once we were in Hong Kong.

As a spoiler Auntie, I added it in the list. Luckily, in the last Klook Travel Fest, they had this buy one, get 1 promo of Ocean Park ticket. 😍🥰😍 We had the chance to avail it online. Since we were total of 5 adults and 2 kids, we bought 2 pairs of the buy 1, get 1 promo. We secured 4 tickets immediately. For the last adult and kids entrance fees, I just bought in HK Ocean Park website.
From our hotel to HK Ocean Park, it took us an hour via train.

On our second day in Hong Kong, we spent the entire day in HK Ocean Park. We totally enjoyed the Giant Panda Adventure, Old Hong Kong Street, Marine World, Polar Adventure and the Grand Aquarium. Every places inside the Hong Kong Ocean Park were truly fun and fulfilling not just for the kids but also for kids at hearts like us. 😍🥰😍

HK Ocean Park is hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! 😲😲😲 A total of almost 92 hectares of land. It is a big island made perfectly to explore the animal kingdom not just aqua marine life but almost all kinds of animals including penguins! It was so huge that you need to ride the Ocean Express Train or a cable car to reach the other end of the island.

For us, we rode first the cable car to reach The Summit. Then, to return to the exit, we tried the Ocean Express Train. It would be more convenient for senior citizens and kids if there were more shuttle cars though.
I wrote a separate blog about HK Ocean Park to let you know more about our adventures. Click here.
Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei
Entrance Fee: Free
On our third day, we explored some parts of Kowloon Island. From our hotel, we rode the MTR again and headed to Mong Kok Station. We walked down to Nathan Road where there were many shopping stalls. In few minutes, we reached the Ladies Market along Tung Choi Street. We had some time to shop for souvenirs and just explore how Hong Kong markets were.

While walking, we saw Café de Coral. We decided to have our lunch there since it was almost 2PM. Though we had a late breakfast, walking around will make you hungry. 😁 Café de Coral is the largest and pioneering Chinese fast-food chain in Hong Kong.

It was affordable (do not compare in PH peso) and literally good for sharing. We ordered meal per each but when we had our meals, 2 persons can share their 1-plated/ bowl food. Plus, we didn’t notice that we added extra rice per meals. Our tables were packed with food! Good thing, we can have the meals to-go or packed to take it home.

After our lunch, we saw Big C store. My sister and sister-in-law dropped by to buy souvenir items. Big C is full of packed snacks mostly imported from Thailand, but it also has locally made in China and Taiwan. 🛍️

While waiting for my sisters, we stayed outside to see how Hong Kong nationals deal with their everyday lives including their livelihood. It really gave me a different happiness just observing them. 🥰

We walked some more minutes and reach Yau Ma Tei Station. Thank you to Google Maps for making our walking tour convenient.
Nan Lian Garden
Entrance Fee: Free
From Yau Ma Tei Station, we rode again the train and stopped at Diamond Hill Station. From the station, it took us 5 minutes to reach the Nan Lian Garden.
Nan Lian Garden is a Chinese classical garden with an area of 3.5 hectares. It is designed in Tang dynasty styled with nearby hills, water features, glooming trees and pants, rocks and incredible wooden structures.

My sister saw this garden while browsing for places to see in Hong Kong. So, I added it our itinerary. It will be nice to add an actual place with Chinese heritage.

Its not just actually a garden only. It is home to Chi Lin Nunnery and Monastery. While walking near and inside the garden, some monks were also roaming around. Without us know these yet when we arrived there, we were about to eat biscuits and take videos. However, an old woman approached us that we cannot eat. 🥺 Then, she approached us again that we cannot take videos. With these restrictions, we decided to leave the garden.
We had enough time inside the garden to appreciate its greenery and serenity. It was a perfect place to spend if you want to relax from the noise of the city.
Victoria Harbour and Avenue of Stars
Entrance Fee: Free
From Diamond Hill, we rode again the MTR. We stopped at East Tsim Sha Tsui Station. We arrived in Victoria Harbour in a perfect time, around 6PM. I really intended to see it at night to have a more vivid sight of the lights. I always had this thinking that Victoria Harbour is one of the places that have the best fireworks display during New Year’s Eve. On that night, my imagination became reality. ✨
Before reaching the Victoria Harbour, we passed by K11 Musea mall. We stopped there for few minutes to sit down. After some minutes of rest, we walked for about 5 minutes searching for the harbour. Viola! It was there! Vividly in magnificent lights! ✨✨✨

Victoria Harbour is a natural iconic harbour in Hong Kong and the entire Asia. It is important as a trading hub and tourist passage. The harbour is named after Queen Victoria of British monarchy. She was the reigning queen during the period when Hong Kong was colonized by the British Empire. It became an important base of Britain for a longest time.

The skyline of Victoria Harbour is undeniably amazing. Apart from the harbour, it is home also to the Hong Kong version of Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Avenue of Stars of Hong Kong is dedicated Asian superstars like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and more.

One of the reasons why I added the Victoria Harbour in my list is to see the statue of Bruce Lee. My father was indeed a big fan of Bruce Lee. My father introduced us to action movies. With that, action movies will not be action movies if Bruce Lee will not be mentioned. 😍
On that night, I whispered to my father that “I made it in Hong Kong with our family. I hope you can see this.” 🥺🥺🥺
After our sightseeing in Victoria Harbour, we rented a cab to return to Kowloon Station. Our plan was to let our cab drop us off in Kowloon Station then we will ride MTR to be directed to Tung Chung Station, near our hotel.
We rented two taxis. I was at the first taxi with my sister, 4-year-old nephew and mother. In less than 15 minutes, we reached the Kowloon Station. While my brother, her wife and son were on the next taxi. Their driver dropped them off in TST Station. The driver insisted that it was Kowloon. But it seemed he didn’t understand the instruction of my brother. With that, they rented another taxi again. We then confirmed that stubborn drivers are everywhere. 😓
With that misunderstanding, we were still thankful that they were not harmed and arrived safely in Kowloon Station. From Kowloon Station, we took the MTR again and directly stopped at Tung Chung Station.
At last, we were back to our hotel! 😍😌😍
Hong Kong Disneyland
Entrance Fee: Php 14,454 (Buy 2, Get 2 promo in Klook) + Php 10,173 (for 2 kids, 1 Senior promo in Klook)
The day we were all waiting! We planned this trip entirely for the 7th birthday of my nephew. And where is the perfect place to celebrate it? Of course, in the happiest place on Earth! 😍🥰😍🥰

We spent our entire fourth day in Disneyland. We intended to arrive in Disneyland a bit late as we knew we will stay late to see the Momentous. Since our hotel is just 2 MTR stations away from Disneyland, we had a late breakfast and shopped for a pair shoe for my sister before we head to Disneyland. We arrived around 12PM in the park, perfect to see the parade. 😍🥰😍🥰

We enjoyed the parade and saw familiar characters from Zootopia, Toy Story, Up, Monsters Inc., Inside Out and specially the Disney Princesses! Though, I know that I have two nephews, I knew they will enjoy all of these characters too! 😍🥰😍🥰
Though it was Saturday when we visited Hong Kong Disneyland, we were able to try rides like Jungle River Cruise, Frozen Ever After, It’s a Small World and Iron Man Experience. We were still blessed and fortunate to in Disneyland with my entire family. 😍🥰😍🥰
Tung Chung Visitation Parish
Entrance Fee: Free
On our 5th day in Hong Kong, I did not add too much in our itinerary. However, it is an obligation to hear a Holy Mass specially we spent one Sunday in Hong Kong. The nearest Catholic Church in our hotel is the one in Tung Chung Catholic School.

From our hotel, we asked the help of our receptionist to hire two cabs. In less than 10 minutes, we reached the school. The mass is to be held at the 4th floor of the school. Good thing, there is an elevator.

The mass was inside the gymnasium of the school. We were just right in time to celebrate a mass. We attended the 12PM mass heard in English. We were ecstatic to feel the presence of our Good Lord for bringing us to Hong Kong and enjoying this place with my entire family. 🥰🙏🥰
After the mass, we hired cabs again and returned to Tung Chung MTR Station, nearby our hotel.
V Walk Mall in Nam Cheong
Entrance Fee: Free
Since I haven’t bought any souvenirs or pasalubong for my officemates (not really a responsibility but it’s my way to thank them for covering my tasks while I am away for vacation), I searched for Big C store. If you can recall, my sisters bought their souvenir items in Big C while we were walking between Mong Kok and Yau Ma Tei. I didn’t buy anything yet as I do not want to carry everything to our next stop.

So, on our last full day in Hong Kong, I decided to have that day as free day. Meaning, we can do whatever we wanted. For me, my free day is shopping yet my family also came along.
The nearest Big C store from our hotel is the one in Nam Cheong. Nam Cheong is four MTR stations away from Tung Chung. It was like the perfect proximity for a laid-back day. So, after our lunch in Citygate Outlet, we headed to the MTR Station in Tung Chung to go directly to Nam Cheong.

Upon arriving in Nam Cheong, I expected that the Big C store was like the one we saw in Mong Kok – a free-standing store. However, as we scroll in Google Maps, we found out that it was inside V Walk Mall. We found V Walk Mall very close to MTR station and the place is adjacent to condominiums, which are very suited to visit by residents nearby.
We headed inside then of the mall to shop. In less than 2 hours, we were able to buy souvenir items I needed and visited other shops too inside the mall. My nephews enjoyed an interactive game inside the mall too. Good thing, it was free! 😍🥰😍

After our short shopping, we returned to Tung Chung.
Citygate Outlet
Entrance Fee: Free
One of the perks we had when we booked Novotel Citygate Hotel was it was adjacent to Citygate Outlets. Literally, the mall was our neighbor for the past six days when we were in Hong Kong. 😍

Citygate Outlets mall was opened in 2000 with 9 floors, over 150 premium brands and more than 40 dining spots. From clothing, luggage, shoes, restaurants, everything were available in Citygate Outlets. As for me, my favorite area was the grocery in the ground level. 😁

Eating with family was not cheap in Hong Kong. So, we were happy to find that the grocery store sells cooked meals that were good for sharing. We found nice hot rice, fried chickens, grilled fishes and more in the grocery store.

We also took advantage to buy fresh stocks like fruits and other items like breads, spreads, and snacks for the kids. But most importantly, we were able to buy liters of bottled water! It was very important since we have kids. Though the hotel provided clean drinking water, we wanted to be sure that the water we will drink will be safe too.

We also had a chance to buy some discounted souvenir items from the Disney Treasure store in Citygate. There were cute and charming items we bought for the kids and to my sister-in-law upcoming daughter.🤱

My sister also bought her first original Nike shoe in Citygate. Since Citygate shops were merely outlet store, most of the items were in discounted price. She got a pair of Nike shoe for Php 7,000 but when bought in Manila, it will be around Php 10,000+. My brother also bought 2 pairs of Van’s shoes for him and his son for Php 6,000. A bit of splurge yet I guess they deserve it! 😍🥰😍

One of the few things I love in Citygate was Bakehouse! 😋 They have the famous egg tart pie, freshly served everyday. 😋😋😋 Super love the fluffiness of the pies! Apart from Bakehouse, we enjoyed different dining restaurants in Citygate like Pizza Hut and Goobne. 😋

We celebrated my nephew’s post-birthday in Pizza Hut after the mass we attended. Pizza was my nephew’s favorite food and what a good way to have his own pizza cake, too!
With all of the places we visited during our travel in Hong Kong, I am sure that every member of the family enjoyed it. Though there were days like walking was too much but exploring another place with your loved ones gave us a different experience that made our bond stronger. 😍🥰😍

Until we meet again, Hong Kong! 💜✨💜
